  • Exterior:
    • the first observation is that the front grille is somewhat blanked out-with odd peculiar patterns or integrated lighting elements hinting at its electric heart. The revamped front and rear bumpers shall use a sleek design of vertical slats that hark back to other new-age Tata Harrier EV such as the Curvv. Together with the connected LED DRLs and Taillamps, aerodynamic alloy wheels give the EV a very futuristic-yet-grounded look. A very discreet EV badging shall tastefully announce its zero-emission credentials.
  • Interior:
    • the finely done-up tech-laden cabin borrows heavily from the Harrier facelift, with an expectedly modern layout for the dashboard that sometimes comes in dual-tone themes. The star of the interiors must be the humongous 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with all the EV-specific graphics and Tata’s Arcade.ev platform. In complementing the above are a sharp 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and rather contemporary touch-based HVAC controls. Comfort bits on offer consist of a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and an electronic parking brake with hold.ill elevate the driving experience.

Performance & Technology:

  • Electric : The Harrier EV has been engineered on the heavily modified version of Tata’s Omega platform, intended only for electrifying it and originally coined acti.ev (or Gen 2). In short, enables larger battery packs and permits All-Wheel Drive (AWD) compatibility.
  • The AWD : This is its biggest selling point. The expectation is that the Harrier EV will have a two-motor setup (one on each axle), providing greater traction, handling, and confidence on different terrains. The torque will be robust, possibly at around 500 Nm, to ensure quicker acceleration and a thrilling drive.
  • Range: Tata Motors has now claimed a range of more than 500 kilometers with a single charge. Even with slight deviations from the real world, this is an enviably impressive range, making the Harrier EV a real long-distance contender to boot, alleviating fears of range for almost every user. It will have a sizable battery pack-maybe 60-75 kWh.
  • Charging: High-speed charging will be available as standard, enabling large recharges from 0 to 80% in well under an hour Charged importantly, the Harrier EV should also thus present appraised as Vehicle-to-Load and Vehicle-to-Vehicle charging, transforming it into a big personal powerbank for appliances or even to help charging another EV.
  • ADAS- Advanced Driver Assistance Systems: It is all safety and convenience. The Harrier EV is expected to get Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and emergency braking. The overall experience will be enriched with a 360-degree camera system, summon mode, and connected car technology with Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.

Expected Price & The Competitive Landscape

The upcoming Tata Harrier EV will be a premium product with the pricing to consider advanced features and capabilities. We expect a price range of Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom).

In this segment against:

  • Upcoming electric SUVs like the Mahindra XUV.e8 and the Hyundai Creta EV.
  • Existing players like the BYD Atto 3 and the MG ZS EV.

But nothing will beat the Harrier EV with its unique combination of Harrier brand, spacious interiors, powerful AWD and all this with a striking range for what this segment is becoming.

The Countdown Continues: June 3, 2025

This isn’t just a small step for Tata Motors and, more importantly, for the Indian EV market; this is a leap of faith. Tata Harrier EV promises to be big on design, performance, range, and technology – everything to fetch the Indian consumer’s next major EV success story.

Save the date: June 3, 2025. The future is electric and increasingly brilliant with vehicles such as Tata Harrier EV moving in that direction. Stay tuned for more comprehensive details on the official launch!
